For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
As we learn and grow nearer to God in obedience, we advance in our spiritual maturity. Spiritual truths are often best revealed in the form of stories; through the belief of which, we become better children of God, as we walk in faith.
Imagine, as you walk out into nature, pure nature; you find yourself in an immense clearing where all you see is a massive stairway leading up to the heavens. So large and tall that it can be seen from any direction. Now, high up in the sky just where the stairs meets the clouds you can clearly see God's heavenly light shining down onto stairway. As you approach the stairway you notice a massive lake in front of it, with perfectly still water. Water so still, that it creates a perfect refection of the stairway but going down into the depths of darkness. As your attention goes to those who found the courage and hope in their ability (by God's grace, through faith) to advance up the stairway, you also noticed that many could be seen captivated by the refection in the water of those climbing to the top of the stairway and so, confused, thinking it is into the lake that is the better path for them. There were many who were persuaded by doubt or fear, and false beliefs; who to their demise, advanced into the lake. Some were misguided in there beliefs, that no one could really make it up the stairway; some were stricken by fear of leaving where they were, and still others were deterred by sheer laziness to take the "easier path". Though, there were still those who by their walk in faith received God's grace, and made it up the stairway into heaven, where they found eternal life.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
1 Peter 1:13-16
Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.
As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written:
“Be holy, because I am holy.”
(Lev. 11:44-45; 19:2; 20:7)
Galatians 5:13-26
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
I will extol the Lord at all times;
His praise will always be on my lips.
My soul will boast in the Lord;
let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
Glorify the Lord with me;
let us exalt His name together.
I sought the Lord, and He answered
me; He delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to Him are radiant;
their faces are never covered with shame.
This poor man called,
and the Lord heard him;
He saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the Lord encamps around
those who fear Him,
and He delivers them.
Taste and see that the Lord is good;

The eyes of the Lord are on the

the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
The righteous cry out,
and the Lord hears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
A righteous man may have many
troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all;
He protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.
Evil will slay the wicked;
the foes of the righteous will be condemned.
The Lord redeems His servants;
no one will be condemned who takes refuge in Him.
God planned for an avenue for each of us to be redeemed from the hand of the enemy; through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, we may all be saved. By simply believing in Him, you will be saved and delivered from death. Believe without a doubt that there is a peace to be found when you accept the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart as your personal Lord & Savior. If you have not done so already, simply take the time to surrender your life to God, and find the overwhelming peace that is available to you at any moment of your life. Receiving Him means that you are no longer living for the evil (self serving) desires that you did before, but are now living to serve the will of God. This does not mean you will always be righteous or even holy, but that in all your ways, as you look to the Lord with your heart, He will guide your path.
Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct your path."
Each day, ask the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins, and your sins will be forgiven. But if you have yet to receive the Lord, repeat this prayer:
"Jesus, I surrender myself to you, I receive you as my Lord and Savior. I believe that you are the Son of God, and that you died on the cross for me, that I may live, and that you rose again. Please deliver me from sin and guide my life. In the name of Jesus, Amen."
It is through this, proclaiming that Jesus is Lord, that you will receive the Holy Spirit, who will guide you to all truth, peace, and security in God. May the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things.
